After three highly acclaimed albums Envoy Of Lucifer represents the fourth and last full-length of NIFELHEIM.

Originally released in 2007, the album is certainly the most professional out of the bunch. Benefitting from a rather clean all-analogue production and many years as musicians under their belts the record, most notably, surprises with intricate arrangements, proficient guitar solos and the introduction of new elements to NIFELHEIM's sound.

Hellbutcher's and Tyrant's lifelong worship of IRON MAIDEN has never been more apparent than on Envoy Of Lucifer too.

Despite all this, the album is still 100% NIFELHEIM with all of their trademarks from previous releases intact.

After having caused a great stir with their self-titled debut, on Devil`s Force from 1998 the swedish savages don`t stray one inch from their path.
NIFELHEIM`s second full-length picks up the smouldering rubble from the debut and takes their unmistakable style up a notch.
Aided by a slightly fuller but still gritty production, the album is a bludgeoning beast of dirty metal infused with lethal doses of satanic insanity.

Inspired by hatred and some of the vilest and darkest Metal of the 80s, Sweden`s most demented twins, Hellbutcher and Tyrant, came up with their only demo Unholy Death, spawned in hell in 1993.

Although the tracks immortalized on this demo are poorly recorded and rather amateurishly performed they already and unmistakenly bear some of the trademarks the band would come to be worshipped for. Hellbutcher`s insane, utterly
possessed screams and their songwriting talent and sense for melody turn the demo into a must-have not only for loyal worshippers of the band but for anyone into early SODOM, early BATHORY or TREBLINKA.

Especially for this compilation, NIFELHEIM unearthed several gems from their archive which turn this release into something truly extraordinary:
On top of the 4 songs from the demo-tape this compilation features 4 other original songs, 2 intros and 2 covers (MOTÖRHEAD and BATHORY) from the same recording-session.
In total, Unholy Death consists of 12 titles with a running time of almost 40 minutes.

Spawned at a time when myriads of bands were hopping on the bandwagon of nice black metal with cheesy keyboards and female vocals, this slab of abrasive old-school metal felt like a much-needed bold Fuck you.

Aptly titled songs like “Black curse”, “Sodomizer” or “Satanic Sacrifice” relentlessly grab for the throat.
