"The Sachem's Tales is an amazing work of solid, agonizing and intense feelings cutting black metal. Behind the music there lies a melodic agreement with the guitars and the synthesizer sounds, kind of giving a counterpoint to each, but all joining in the end for fantastic melodic landscapes. From worlds of mythologies and legends, the lyrics never saturate, even on the predictable despair of the clean female voice and strings moments."
(Review excerpt by Lonely Dark World)
Evolution is a long and complex process, which requires several, if not many different phases. Hornwood Fell, from the woods of central Italy, now reach the third landmark in their career, and keep on changing.
Sharp riffs are now mixed with more intricate patterns, the odd psychedelic hints sprout here and there, but what is mostly surprising is a completely new approach to vocals. Spanning from crystal-clean singing in the vein of bands like Novembre, to darker, harsher performances, this new approach brings the band way farther from the Norwegian forests of their beginnings and leads them towards personal, uncharted lands.
The straight, uncompromising yet derivative attitude of their self-titled debut has become more surprising, unpredictable and varied.
The vinyl is handnumbered to 200 copies only!
There's always a point, a velocity. Little is the pleasure. It has the cold, the atmosphere. It fucks you on the snow.

Cioran, from the monicker who calls into question the homonymous Romanian philosopher, evoke the cumbersome burden of the tragic existence of existence. The new Divine Bestial Beast, released three years later by the EP in the cassette for the American Caligari Records, is a step further than the nihilistic wave that has permeated so much music lately and has become a Sticky sticker label on the right and missing. No space for moments of light, this is clear, but their concept is more about a Gnostic dualism of duality expressed by hermetic lyrics. We talk about the paradox of the coexistence of the bestial and the divine, of their balance within an organism, that is, of the man tout cour

Atmospheric black metal forged in total darkness, exploring themes of cosmic notion, human failure, death and rebirth.
Dressed again in sci-fi / space aesthetic by renowned visual artist Alexander Preuss, Progenie Terrestre Pura, or in short q[T]p, return after a few years hiatus with their second album 'oltreLuna'.
Powered by consistant line-up changes and additions, Davide -q[T]p former member- armed all weapons of the spaceship in order to repeat success after the much acclaimed debut album 'U.M.A.' (2013).
Paying much more attention to every small detail during recording and production, the band managed to capture a more organic and "real" sound, and although keeping their atmospheric nature, dared to explore what we couldn't foresee before (like the use of ethnic sounds), resulting more aggressive yet more sophisticated at the same time.
'oltreLuna' shows a relevant step-further since its predecessor, taking profit of new elements left unexplored during their first astral journey and thus avoiding to close themselves in the debut album's gold and self celebration and by all means drawing the basis of a bright future
While Selvans are full time working on the second full-length, Avantgarde Music is going to celebrate the closing of the first chapter of the band activity with a special release (for the meaning and the feature): the live album 'Hirpi'.
The album consists of four tracks covering the three Selvans releases plus the live cover of Draugr's 'Furore Pagano' as a tribute to the past.
The album has been recorded during two live performances in Pescara: on April, 23rd 2016, during a special concert in memory of Jonny Morelli - Selvans former singer and drummer - and on December, 16th of the same year.
The line-up is Haruspex and Fulguriator plus live session musicians: Acheron (guitar), Cordyceps M (bass) and HK (drums).
Draugr's ex members Triumphator (guitar) and Stolas (bass) joined Selvans on stage to perform 'Furore Pagano'.
The Faun's procession on the artwork has been conceived by Haruspex and made by the italian artist Umberto D'Ottavio.
