Northern Silence

Cosmic Autumn is a one-man project from Germany, founded in 2017.

Based on traditional and atmospheric Black Metal, the music also features elements of Progressive Metal and Epic Doom Metal.

Inspired by long walks through the forest at night, lyric themes are the transcendence of the human psyche, loneliness, self-reflection and the nihilistic nature of reality.

The CD is released as part of the Northern Silence Underground Series and comes in jewel case, limited to 500 copies.

Mosaic I might be Unreqvitedʼs most ambitious effort to date. Though only 40 minutes in length, their third LP explores far more hopeful territory, deeply rooted in post-rock and orchestral influences. Apart from the harrowing, tormented shrieking vocals, little to no black metal influences remain from their previous releases. It instead features majestic and hopeful refrains, wonderfully evocative progressions, and angelic, delicate atmospheres. The by-product is a captivating new sound that may be completely unique to the genre.

Initially started as a synth/ambient project by sole member Ynleborgaz in 1997, Angantyr quickly changed its style to raw, classic Scandinavian Black Metal in 1998 and has remained true to its roots throughout the project's entire history.

The history of Spell of Dark began in December 2009 during a night in the cold southern deserts.

Ennoven is a one-man project from Poland, inspired by the beauty and power of nature.

It has an Atmospheric Black Metal sound with heavy Post Rock and Ambient influences.

The first album, entitled "Redemption", was recorded in 2014 and first released in a small edition on CDr by the artist himself.

Following an upload by the Atmospheric Black Metal Albums channel on Youtube, Ennoven received a lot of positive feedback as well as plenty of demands for another physical release. In 2016 the album was reissued on tape, limited to 50 copies.

Northern Silence

RÛR was created by its sole member C.L. in mid to late 2017. It was originally imagined as a darker, more monotone and melancholic project consisting mainly of old riffs made back in the early 2000s, but as recording of the first song began the project took another direction. It steered towards what can be heard on the debut release, simply named “RÛR” - higher tempo, less melancholic and more epic melodies focusing a bit more on the riffing while still retaining some of the ambient sound of the old material.

Inspiration comes mainly from escapism and dreams of other worlds - dark, vast and wild. Main inspirations musically are the low-fi dreamscape that is Paysage d’Hiver, the epic battle songs of Caladan Brood, the blasting fury of Forteresse, the cosmic darkness of Mare Cognitum, and of course old masters like Dissection, Burzum and Emperor.

Nature Stays Silent is an excellent album of atmospheric black metal, but it's mostly an excellent music album. Far from being redundant and never sacrificing either technicality to emotion, nor emotion to technicality,

Cân Bardd manages to keep the interest of the listener during relatively long compositions, in a genre where the impression of déjà-vu unfortunately happens often as the codes are found reinterpreted too often without real originality.

Having not only the merit of offering their own interpretation of the atmospheric black metal, but also of achieving it brilliantly, Cân Bardd delivers with A Nature Stays Silent an excellent first album, a real musical journey in the confines that still remains to discover .

Second album of the italian Black Metal Band. For those who loves bands like Summoning or Caladan Brood, this band follows their steps, with their characteristic Tolkien based lyrics.

The only member is Severio Gioni, and also he is the face of the Viking Metal band Valtyr and Black Metal band, Ymir.

"Elenion Ancalima" is a full album of 5 tracks inspired by Tolkien's novel "Akallabeth" from Silmarillion. It features Hildr Valkyrie (guest vocals)
