Ephemeral's debut album "Into Being" is a vivid tale of gloom and radiance. Musically anchored into a rich, layered and timeless progressive/dark-folk, with lyrics inspired by English literature from various centuries as well as by reflections on human longing, growth and nature. In the band's own words: "Each song, in its own way, deals with the shedding of one’s old skin for a new one, following the path toward the unknown, and the beauty of letting go to give rise to new beginnings within the cyclical nature of life".
Taking off from the legacy left by bands such as Lifelover or Grey Waters / Autumn's Dawn, on their debut full-length Defaitism leaps even further into contaminating their DSBM roots with emotive indie-rock melodies and mannerisms.
The result is an album that is as catchy as it's desperate, songs launched in a breathless run full of memorable hooks, riffs and refrains. No gimmicks, no hype, just the raw and timeless power of songs crafted with care and genuine emotion.

On their second full-length album, the russian four-piece band VARHARA steers toward a radical change in style compared to their debut “Осы“ (2021). While firmly rooted in the dense and contemplative post-black stylized by russian bands such as SOMN, Rozh and Olhava, “Пустоцвет” (Voidflower) is filled with gothic-doom overtones, balancing on the dreamy, light and heavier sides of black metal. Full of sorrow and of hope, escapism from a reality too bleak to be accepted.
Following a successful series of releases, the prolific and creative drive of Nostalghia forced its way into a new creature.
"Duelo" is an album born out of sheer impulse and emotional necessity, aptly shaped in a straightforward and painfully intense mix of dark blackgaze and dsbm.
In the words of Nostalghia's mastermind Alex Becerra: "Duelo is the album that I never thought I would have to make. It speaks from the bottom of my depression, one I'm still struggling to overcome".
Formed in 2010 as the solo project of singer Charlize, the band from Rennes, France operates now as the duo of Charlize and Cyanure.
Mutiara Damansara developed their own personal take on blackgaze, crafting a genre-fluid world where Alcest's blueprint flirts and merges with the catchy & exhuberant indie-shoegaze of bands like M83. And yet, with all their colorful sound palette and a rare gift for penning dreamlike melodies, the songs of Mutiara Damansara are stories of dark turmoil, filled with personal struggles, dread and alienation.
For this special release, These Hands Melt collected all the material Mutiara Damansara self-released to date, including two surprising cover songs exclusively available in the CD edition. All songs have been remastered by Mike Lamb (Sojourner, REMINA).

David Galas is a longtime core member of the american darkwave cult band LYCIA and accomplished solo artist, whose career span many years of both song-oriented and experimental albums, exploring the darkest recesses of the human psyche. David's latest epic "A Dark Place To Hide" is a sprawling tome of dark/goth-rock, inhabiting the same desolate universe of the likes of Lycia, Michael Gira or David Eugene Edwards.

WOLKN is the one man project helmed by REL from the Isle of Anglesey (Ynys Mon) in North Wales. The music of WOLKN is an eclectic experience that blends the triumphant brutality of blackened death metal with elements of prog, folk , bits of doom and sludgy hardcore for good measure.
