Katechon is a Norwegian black/death metal act hailing from the prolific region of Trondheim. The band's sophomore album, Coronation, was released in June of 2015 by Nuclear War Now! Productions on CD and vinyl. Sporting nearly thirty-five minutes over eight tracks, Coronation is suffocating yet engaging, chaotic yet flowing. Several members of Katechon have spent time in infamous Norwegian acts like Hellstorm, Wallachia and Thorns, but, with their latest album, it seems the band is intent on carving its on history.
This is an extremely heavy and dense album, but the band's swirling patterns of dissonance and frenetic melodies are superb. While the typical sunglasses and bullet belts style of black/death has its place, Katechon brings something that begins to transcend the genre; something that offers more than just primal aggression.

The kings of US underground Power Metal have finally returned! It has been 10 long years since the last STEEL PROPHET release (and the only one in their discography that I didn’t care for, the aptly titled “Beware”) and with Rick Mythiasin back at lead vocals where he belongs, long-time fans such as myself will be very pleased with “Omniscient”. This new release is a conceptual, science fiction themed album written by the talented Steve Kachinsky Blackmoor which is something the band is pretty much known for.

"Axiom" was recorded, mixed and mastered in No Solace Studio with M. (Mgla/Kriegsmaschine). The album cover was created by Mentalporn. The 11 new songs on "Axiom" clock in at around 42 minutes.

"Hurt Yourself and The Ones You Love" was recorded and mixed in Sound Suite Studios (Marseille, France) with Terje Refsnes (Carpathian Forest, Novembre, Gehenna, Destroyer 666) behind the knobs. Brad Boatright of Audiosiege Studio (Corrosion Of Conformity, Nails, Vallenfyre, Beastmilk, High On Fire) took care of the mastering in Portland (Oregon, USA).
