Eldritch, boundless desolation, awe-inspiring in its profundity, blanching in its focus, LUSTRE’s A Glimpse of Glory is an experience like no other. Awash in mile-high walls of hypnotic, hypothermic synths, the three epic tracks comprising the album idiosyncratically fuse together arcane elements of black metal, dark ambient, pagan metal, and funeral doom, glacial in drift and towering in its vision. Imagine Burzum’s Dunkelheit crossed with Summoning’s Stronghold, but spawned in the same studio environs Skepticism uses: perhaps then you will catch A Glimpse of Glory.

With the release of Blossom we bear witness to something new that slowly has taken shape and now flourishes, an era of LUSTRE that has grown into something simply magnificent. With his superb talent for creating reflective, dream inducing music; multi-instrumentalist Nachtzeit has managed to take his LUSTRE to new dimensions. Blossom is an incredibly beautiful creation that treats its listener to a colorful musical journey, meditative and wondrous. LUSTRE's debut album "Night Spirit" opened many eyes and ears when its pioneering dark metal sound was heard for the first time in 2009. Now getting a long-awaited reissue through Nordvis, "Night Spirit" is a transporting journey through the ethereal fields and vast expanse of starlit nocturnal skies.

The cavernous ambience created by lone mastermind Nachtzeit's synths spawns a thick aura around the raw yet melodic metal foundation, like a mesmerizing moon glow around the amorphous shades of misty woods, with an ominous feeling of being drawn further in by the spirits of the night. Combining this haunting atmosphere with a medieval phantasmagoric feel and harsh blackened metal, "Night Spirit" broke new ground and opened a new portal in the pantheon of somber music.
