Australia's WOODS OF DESOLATION have quietly become one of the world’s preeminent atmospheric black metal exponents. Started as a solo project in 2005 by multi-instrumentalist D., it has been honed over almost two decades and dozens of recordings into a vessel of sublime beauty and sadness.
Originally released in 2008, ‘Toward the Depths’ earned Woods of Desolation a foothold in black metal’s underground.
