YERÛŠELEM is the newest entity created by Vindsval and W.D.Feld (BLUT AUS NORD).

The project’s name speaks of an incalculable vastness of contemplation within: YERÛŠELEM’s sound is a congruent melding of powerfully bass-heavy Godfleshian clank and grind, the sacred ur-texts of Coil and Autechre, stark neo-gothic guitar leads with intimations of fusion, the freshness-into-fetid-air experimentation of back-end ‘90s Mayhem and Thorns, post-punk urbanity, psychedelic dreamgaze, subterranean industrial pulses and the crunching rhythmic crispness of modernist electronica.

“Lost Empyrean” is as dynamic and multi-faceted as it is crushing and furious. Like the crashing of waves, sludgy, doom-laden riffs ebb and flow into calm ambience and sonorous post-metal atmosphere. Dour roars relax into despondent clean vocals and spoken word. With their latest masterpiece, DIRGE weave a tapestry of fluid contradictions. Melodic and dissonant, hopeful and desperate, tranquil and tempestuous, “Lost Empyrean” is not simply a record to be heard, but to be surrendered to.

Simply put, Malediction is a statement of intent. A purely Satanic album, in the band's eyes, and one which draws a line firmly in the sand, this is pure Southern Vassaforian Hell driven to the outer reaches of primitivism and transcendence. Here, VASSAFOR strip bare their most barbaric tendencies, down to their most unapologetic form, and build anew a temple of unimaginable might. The maw of chaos opens ever wide, beckoning the listener to submit and be devoured; meanwhile, tendrils of tension untether in a manner most ambient. If any of VASSAFOR's earlier work achieved a sense of vertigo - and it surely has - then Malediction is the band's most potent distillation/distortion of such yet. Across a time-evaporating/halting 50 minutes, each of the five tracks comprising Malediction work as mantra and spell simultaneously. Doom(ier) elements are largely traded for utter violence and virulence, which somehow makes the end result all the more stultifying and psychedelic in equal measure.

Like a sledgehammer in the dark, OUTRE delivered a vicious blow to the unsuspecting in 2015 with their relentless and punishing debut record, “Ghost Chants”. 

As the sun begins to set on 2018, smoldering fires reignite, old wounds open anew, and OUTRE return with their sophomore effort, “Hollow Earth”. Pushing the envelope on an already polished and tight sound, “Hollow Earth” sees the band continue to refine their craft, effortlessly weaving blasting black metal dissonance with guttural, down tuned death metal savagery and sludge-like grooves. Ghostly synths and ethereal clean vocals spiral into this blackened vortex, lending their distant cries to a haunting and cavernous atmosphere.
