Definitely the most unusual release in the whole Sivyj Yar’s discography with Novgorod gusli being the main instrument.
The artist defines this album as 'neo-medieval nocturnes' and dedicates it to Yuri Mirolyubov (1892-1970), the discoverer (well, most likely, the Author) of the mysterious 'Book of Veles', literally the main influence on the Eastern European paganism revival.

Featuring six songs and 33 minutes of exclusive material, this special split album brings together two of Swedish black metal’s most elite names. VOODUS have been on a tear since their formation in 2015, releasing their massively acclaimed Into the Wild debut LP in 2018 through SHADOW as well as three EPs, with last year’s two-song/24-minute Open the Otherness displaying the band’s increasingly epic vision. Here with Ginnungagap, their half of the split, VOODUS continue to explore that epic vision with two mind-expanding songs combining for 17 minutes of obsidian majesty and malevolence: truly, this horde is on the rise. DOMGÅRD, by comparison, are veterans of the scene, forming in 1997 but delivering their debut album in 2010. However, from there, the band have released a steady stream of albums which retain an authentically late ‘90s vintage; oft unheralded, DOMGÅRD continue to create black metal of a superlative degree. With their half, Ljungeld Över Människan, DOMGÅRD present four tracks which ever so subtly expand upon their characteristic sound – searing execution stacked against sweeping dynamics, fog-choked atmosphere revealing bewitching melodicism – all of which further underline the band’s status as Sweden’s standard-bearers of vivid classicism.
With the CD version presenting both halves on their own disc, revel in the past NOW with VOODUS and DOMGÅRD’s respective Ginnungagap and Ljungeld Över Människan!
As auspicious of a start as that split was, HINSIDES reveal the full depth of their depravity with the debut album Under Betlehems brinnande stjärna. Immediately and remorselessly is the listener attacked with a necro soundfield steeped in the earliest, most fiery birth-pangs of Scandinavian black metal. Peer within that piercing sound – if you can survive the initial onslaught, that is – and you’ll discover a wealth of fascinating and fearless twists to ancient black metal tropes. Paradoxically, HINSIDES here are more melodic and magisterial than even hinted at on that preceding split; fluid like an ever-flowing stream, the riffing is harsh yet finessed, evincing an eerily hummable quality that only intensifies the strangeness Under Betlehems brinnande stjärna presents. Suitably, mainman M.A.’s vocals are unhinged and utterly feral, in no uncertain terms imparting pure devil-worship and archaic witchcraft. Which is to say nothing of the unique(ly haunting) integration of church bells…all put in service of Him.
Five track mini-album of all-consuming darkness from the Italian black metal legends, Mortuary Drape.
Mixing the best elements of classic and doom metal, Wisdom - Vibration - Repent includes a cover of Mercyful Fate's Nightmare Be Thy Name.
CD edition.
Gatefold DLP including a A4 12 pages booklet.
The inimitable Funeral Mist – one of the most iconic bands on the NoEvDia roster – has delivered unto us “Deiform”. Seven musical pieces contemplating the nature of divinity and mortal existence through the fiery lens of black metal.
