Re-issue of MÖRK GRYNING’s fourth full-length ‘Pieces of Primal Expressionism’.
While much debated at the time of its release in 2003, MÖRK GRYNING’s fourth full-length ‘Pieces of Primal Expressionism’ is now regarded as the band’s most daring and experimental release.
Recorded and produced with David Bergstrand and Örjan Örnkloo (Meshuggah, Devin Townsend, In Flames, Dark Funeral), the Swedes built a gargantuan wall of sound with disharmonic clusters, resulting in a record that was very different from MÖRK GRYNING’s previous material.
Pieces of Primal Expressionism’ was ultimately nominated for an award on the Swedish national radio and is a key step in the evolution of the band’s sound and discography.

Sweden’s kings of gothic, deathly metal have returned with a new album, “Where the Gloom Becomes Sound”.
Spirit Adrift refuses to slow down. With Enlightened In Eternity, Nathan Garrett, alongside drummer Marcus Bryant, has created yet another monument to the timelessness of heavy metal. And while this album builds on the sizable foundation established by previous releases, it also sets itself apart in formidable new ways, widening the scope of what Spirit Adrift can be. What this band has mastered, and where others have failed, is the ability to invoke the power of metal’s past, whether it be the ’70s, ’80s or even the ’90s, as one hears here, without ever feeling throwback or “retro”. Spirit Adrift urgently represent the sonic and emotional zeitgeist of 2020. Enlightened In Eternity carries the same enormous magnitude of the most significant metal records of every era, but Garrett has carved out his own place among the greatest of songwriters, by crafting uniquely classic and instantly recognizable songs. Vocally, Garrett again showcases an obvious evolution of his already high-level ability with more soaring soul and snarling venom injected into his classic metal form. The gorgeous guitar leads, melodies, harmonies and unforgettably heavy riffs benefit from a huge, timeless production quality. Bryant has elevated his drumming to new levels of intensity and tasteful subtlety. And as always, the tracks remain imprinted on the mind long after the album has finished. Whether it’s the ever-expanding catalog of incredible albums and songs or the searing live performances, the dominance of Spirit Adrift upon the current heavy metal landscape is now undeniable. And while Enlightened In Eternity already marks the band’s fourth album, Spirit Adrift have only just begun..

"The Thule Grimoires" are The Ruins Of Beverast's 6th spawn in full length and continue the sonorous wandering across anecumenical spheres that form up and embattle for the ever raging war against poisonous and verminous trespassers of human origin. The seven works evolve around discarnate, spiritful protagonists that join the brave and inexorable powers of nature against their foe. These sceneries are rooted within the familiar TROBesque experience, grim and low-bottomed monolithic tone, enriched with morbid melodic facets and surreal soundscapes.
A split release on Aesthetic Death which churns between the unrelenting ravages of psychic whorror and the transcendent euphoria of a catatonic void; sometimes simultaneously manifesting both experiences in mind rupturing harmony. The Starless Domain trio are joined by Mories to deliver guest vocals for an extra void of blackening torn through the mix. The Tomes duo of Hermes and Dictator conjuring storm and stillness from all manner of organic and electronic fauna.
