Formed in 2010 by famed American black metal musician Jeff Wilson (formerly of Abigail Williams, Wolvhammer, and Nachtmystium) and drummer Bob Fouts (formerly of The Gates of Slumber and Apostle of Solitude), the group released a self-titled post-black metal EP in 2012 before going totally silent. It was unfortunate as the EP was quite good, eschewing the style’s typical melodrama in favor of grounded riffs that recalled a more understated version of An Autumn for Crippled Children. Seven years later, the band has recruited vocalist James Benson (Amiensus) for their long-awaited full-length debut, A Grief Observed
Both slow and aggressive at times, US black metal in the legacy of Judas Iscariot, Xasthur early Nachtmystium and Krieg!

The 6th thunderous album from Djevel, the band that never swerve away from their original intention of traditional quality 90s sounding Black Metal with a ominous melodic side to it.
The band, lead by Ciekals as the composer and brain, maintain a stunning high level on their musicianship, where Faust (Blood Tsunami, ex-Emperor) and Mannevond (Koldbrann) fills out the
positions on the last two fullength albums. This won't sound like the new wave of Black Metal, but if you're familiar with Djevel from before, it will hit its mark. And if you simply are into Black Metal, the way it was done in the most
speculative days, you can't let this one go anytime soon.

The Norwegian giant returns, armed with a refined lineup and ready to strike with a sophomore effort that is sure to once again exceed the expectations of Abbath’s loyal fanbase. ‘Outstrider’ sees a maturation in sound, delivering a tighter, well-rounded offering from the band as they come into their own identity. The album delivers a full-on aural assault from start to finish with massive riffage and a robust pocket that are layered with vocals from one of the most identifiable voices in black metal. If you thought ABBATH came in hot with their first record, just wait until you hear this!
