A fantastic split between these two projects of occult Black Metal from the United States. Häxanu is one of the most recent projects of Alex Poole, who should need no introduction, being involved in many of the most notorious and groundbreaking acts in recent years, and counts already with two full-lengths under this moniker, which also involves L.C. of Lichmagick on vocals. Collier d'Ombre is a recent project born from the ashes of the Vrasubatlat circle, and spearhead by its mastermind, R., whose blasphemous contributions in the past 10 years could also not be overstated. Two different acts, but both perfectly balancing a sense of devotion and understanding of what Black Metal should be and stands for, deeply rooted in the 90s ways, Häxanu more into the Scandinavian traditions of Arckanum whereas CdO seems to be more inspired by the Hellenic strains of Black Metal. Both crafting a sound perfectly balancing melody and triumphalism with raw aggression and witching darkness, but with approaches that are absolutely unique and contemporary without being derivative.

Originally recorded in 2013 during the "Kriegserklärung" sessions and released in 2017 as a split with Kommandant. These tracks convey the aftermath of the Great War in early 1919 by covering the brutal street fighting of factions in the early Weimar Republic. Some of the fastest and most intense songs of the band's early period are here, as well as the first experimentation with neofolk.

Specially remastered for vinyl with a complete new artwork and layout.

Compared to the sheer brutality of ‘Angrep', ‘I utakt med verden' is quite the opposite.
If Angrep was the war, ‘I utakt med verden' is conceptually the time after a lost one, where we lick our wounds and count our dead. Slowed down.
Someone said that listening this album was like being trapped under water, and there was no chance to breathe air until the end of it.

Dusktone is proud to team up with German cult black metal band Baxaxaxa in order to reissue, on cd and tape, a compilation of their early recordings, titled "Spells From The Crypt". It will contain the legendary "Hellfire" demo from 1992, "The Old Evil" demo and the "Devoted to HIM" 7". "Spells From The Crypt" will hit the shelves in late Spring! Expect nothing but pure old-school black metal!

Morcolac draws inspiration from the late 90’s Nordic black metal, in particular from the symphonic side and - geographically - the finnish scene, a tradition continuing today with names such a Satanic Warmaster, Vargrav, Warmoon Lord. Listeners can feel a balance in Morcolac music: on one side the gloom of symphonic black metal while on the other the aggression and the malignancy of old-school black metal.

The band fuses much of the atmospheric and ambient stylings of modern blackgaze bands, such as Deafheaven, Lantlôs, Olhava, etc., but with a much stronger emphasis on their post-hardcore influences.

All of which shines in the four monumental songs of debut album "In Light". Songs that form a flux of feral and raw emotions, floating seamlessly through utter despair and ecstatic beauty.
