Created in 2014, Cantique Lépreux feeds on Black Metal from all eras, reveling in its essence. Inspired by the wilderness of Québec, the Occult, death, and fear, Cantique Lépreux creates music that is at times grim, at other times melancholic; a work born of passion, paying homage to the legends of Black Metal.

Hailing from a scene that seems to endure as an archaic artefact of a genre that was extensively shaped by the early Scandinavian scene, Cantique Lépreux makes its public debut with 'Cendres Célestes'. While treading familiar ground, they unearth and truly encapsulate everything about their vision and are proof that there could not be a more suitable place than Québec to shape such glacier-cold and mournful hymns.
 

Ungfell was spawned from an array of decrepit moon rites and woodland invocations in late 2014 by Menetekel, who remains the project's driving force to this day. During 2015 the demo, Demo (lition) was released, followed by a split (with Dakhma) in the same year and their debut full-length Tôtbringære in 2017. Mythen, Mären, Pestilenz reveals ten new Walpurgis black metal spells that continue the band's trademark sound; fusing filthy, rustic black metal conjurations and occasional folk instrumentation. A ferocious array of piercing riffs, marching percussions and tortured howls. Ungfell's second full-length presents Helvetic black metal deeply rooted in medieval lore and tales of pestilent witchcraft. Ghastly ghouls and sinister sorceresses rejoice in these utterances and sounds, gathered as one around the towering witch's pyre... as the hangman plays the last lead, the crimson night is not far.

On their third full-length album, "Es grauet", Ungfell abducts listeners on a sonic journey detailing moral ambivalence and treachery. Set in a seemingly idyllic rural village in pre-modern times, all is not as it seems. Tragedy strikes the town in the form of a horrific, grisly murder. Unfounded accusations lead the town further astray, while these occurences of debauchery exceed the comprehension of the local inhabitants. Alas, evil lurks where you may least expect it... The story unfolds, accompanied by ravaging riffs and gripping songwriting that appropriately underline the complex, yet harrowing narrative. "Es grauet" shows Ungfell at their most ambitious and most audacious, featuring incredibly dynamic and warm production values, emphasizing atmosphere even more than previous releases and managing to compliment the story being told.

This CD release compiled those three tapes "Come Here With Us..." 1990, "Domine a Morte...Libera Me" 1992, "Promo xxx '95" and 6 never before released songs from a 1991 rehearsal tape. CD featuring 12 pages booklet with rare photos and interview with founding members.
