Entomophthora was formed during a conversation about zombie flies in 2022, and consists of Roger Isaksen (vocals, bass, guitar) and Tom Wahl (guitar), both veterans in the Norwegian metal scene.
Their dark form of music is a natural combination of Tom Wahl’s old-school death metal approach and Roger Isaksen’s more modern extreme metal background. The result is «Instinctual Disease»; eight tracks of powerful guitars, intense vocals and rapid rhythms. Ripping death metal to the bone!

“Du Skal Frykte” brings even more nostalgia and atmosphere from the past to the table. There's a bit more melodic touch to it, but in the right way. Often reminding of the great early Satyricon, Ulver and other scene pillars, this album still brings you back to the early 90's and the whole reason why we started enjoying this epic and majestic genre. 'Graveside' is an indulgence in (and of) the most celebrated and earliest 'naive' works of such luminaries of the early 90's scene as Emperor, Satyricon, Dimmu Borgir, Gehenna and others. As such, 'Graveside' shows OLD FOREST's willingness to regress back to their roots and once more adopt instinctive and spontaneous composition and recording, whilst casting aside such trivial matters as 'innovation' or 'perfection'.

This old and rancid sabbatical articulation was consecrated in morbid malignancy through archaic incunabula vampyric texts and the twisted philosophical structure of vinegar blood, the cadaveric cauldron with which these texts are nourished and bathed and the vibrational current of cryptic music, is embraced under the temple of heresy regarding the visions and the reverse trance anointed in mortal blood on octingenti black candles, unbaptized opus that serve as a funerary reminder towards the pestilent and monumental orchestrations of the "Vampyric Arts of Putrefaction".

The bestiality and ferocity are translated into a fiery and black barbaric cadence that is robustly justified with the putrid gloomy emblem of a distant black church, an unbaptized fortress of agonizing mist and black pylons of catacombs and unclean spirits. Die Schattenfestung serves a single evil purpose which is reflected under octingenti black candles of a rotten and cadaverous sound rehearsal as an album of primordial force towards vampyric raw black metal.

Odes Past & Mysticism From the Southern Lands is a unique work that delves into the inner realms of the mirror dimension and evil iridescence of Black Metal Opus, the exalted composition of this new album is directly related to the old and dark wisdom of Valdivian enclave, the blackened mythology and mysticism behind the eternal sorrow and the siege, the rusty canyons of the past and the old fortresses scattered over the old veins of the Pacific Ocean, each of the tracks throughout this musical piece is composed mainly of the mournful stories inherited with the blood of the ancients, the vestiges of the kingdom and the Valdivian shadows that remains as a solid banner.

Emissaries of the Past (Ancient Ruins 1675) is the orchestration that manages to unify the ancient cryptic emanation and belongs to one of the last visions of the past, which symbolizes a oneiric narrative of the mystical pilgrimage and memories of a solitary traveler who found his refuge and at the same time his tomb in the fortress of San Pedro de Alcántara after entering the gates of oblivion.
