After two well received demos, Dutch black metal trio FLUISTERAARS make their official debut statement. "Dromers" comprises three epic-length tracks that take the listener on a winding, windswept journey through the catacombs of ancient black metal mysticism. Like the fading rays of the sun during the change of seasons, as autumnal splendor gives way to wintry majesty, FLUISTERAARS' Dromers conjures visions both familiar and foreign, both immediate and distant. Their vision of black metal is a highly personal and deeply emotive one, at times recalling early Primordial and Agalloch as well as Autumn Aurora-era Drudkh,.

Fluisteraars are quite extraordinary in their way of arranging and presenting music. With vast influences concerning the ambience and atmospheric aspects of their craft the dutch trinity is not to be easily stuck in just one plain direction. The early on forged term "Windswept Black Metal" recalling imagery of rain, decay, bleakness and intoxication still to date embodies their own amalgamation of intriguing, atmospheric music.

The fittingly titled “Passage” finds Alda further strengthening their bonds as musicians and honing their style into an even more earthen and evolved fusion of black styled metal often revered in their location, and a passionately spirited folk presence. Alda have noticeably grown as songwriters while not forsaking the roots of their core sound. It marks a vital addition not only to their own impressive catalog, but to the ever growing North American “black metal” community. Passage is an all-encompassing journey into the mountains and environs surrounding them, another monumental release combining nature oriented aspects, underground metal DIY ethic's and spirituality.

A kaleidoscopic plummet into the depths of despair and regret. AUTUMN'S DAWN create a 9-song cycle of dark, emotive energy, dynamically spanning depressive rock, post-black metal, and plenty in between. The Australian duo are hardly newcomers: vocalist/drummer Sorrow is the mastermind behind the critically acclaimed Germ, and did time in cult OZBM bands like Austere, Woods of Desolation, and Nazxul among others. In many ways, AUTUMN`S DAWN in general and Gone in particular can be seen as a more refined version of Grey Waters, a short-lived yet celebrated band of Sorrow; in other ways, one can imagine Sentenced and Mono squaring off with Germ and Austere. Any way you describe it, Gone is the end...and the beginning.

All yearning embittered, the flesh is shed, the Journey ends. AURVANDIL returns with "Thrones" carved in stone and snow, distillating the essence of soaring, northern purity throughout four hymns of Iron and Ice, four funereal storms summoned. Skyclad and possessed, AURVANDIL weaves a wyrd of holocaust. Glacial Black Metal.
