FENRIZ è il batterista dei DARKTHRONE, una delle primissime BLACK METAL band norvegesi, ma è anche fautore di altri progetti. Uno di questi è stato NEPTUNE TOWERS, progetto di DARK AMBIENT ispirato da artisti come Tangerine Dream e Klaus Schulze. Ecco la ristampa del secondo album, uscito nel 1994 su etichetta Moonfog, adesso riproposto in una nuova versione con 4 BONUS TRACK registrate per il terzo album “Space Lab”, mai uscito.

Ristampa in DOPPIO CD del debut album degli ISENGARD, il progetto di FENRIZ, batterista e cantante dei DARKTHRONE. La musica degli Isengard incorpora BLACK, FOLK, DEATH, DOOM e VIKING METAL, con il sound primitivo e nordico tipico dei
Darkthrone. Uscito originariamente nel 1994, Vinterskugge è diviso in 3 capitoli, “Vandreren” registrato nel 1993, “Spectres Over Gorgoroth” del 1989 e “Horizons” del 1991, per un totale di 16 brani di oscura e primitiva musica nordica. Questa nuova edizione contiene un secondo CD con il commento di Fenriz a tutti i brani ed i suoi ricordi del periodo. Il CD è corredato da slipcase cartonata.

The album contains 3 chapters. The first, ‘Vanderen’, features the most recent tracks, from 1993. The second part comprises of ‘Spectres Over Gorgoroth’, an early Isengard recording from 1989, while chapter 3 features tracks from 1991, called ‘Horizons’.

This new edition of ‘Vinterskugge’ includes a bonus commentary disc where Fenriz describes his recollections of the period - both of the composition of the tracks & the recordings - in an invaluable insight into this classic release, as the music plays in the background. This edition also features additional lyrics & photos.
