Sometimes in a band's history, there's a moment where the calm comes after the storm – when their first output burns brightly, making itself almost impossible to compete with. To simply repeat it would be a mistake, so it's time to change. A significant change, but not in the core of the music, just a change in tonalities, from harsh to smooth, from pained to beautiful…
This is not the case with Acathexis.
Jake, Dany & Déhà return with their searing style of atmospheric black metal. Like the ebb and flow of the human experience, light-speed blast beats interweave with introspective passages to express a flurry of emotions and energy, with heartrending screams, harsh guitars that veil solemnity, produced triumphantly but with the mark of each member imprinted clearly upon it. They haven’t changed, and they have much more to say with the sound which has become their signature.
Second installment “二度目の災害” (‘second disaster’) from the enigmatic black metal entity Arkhtinn takes us on a dark voyage into the cold dead space. Arkhtinn is a part of the Prava KolleKtiv consisting of an anonymous group of musicians. Over the past few years, the band has released a number of demos, but it was until the year 2018 that this enigmatic outfit released its debut album. “最初の災害“. The band provides a cosmic sense of the palpable atmosphere creating a brooding mood for the listener with the use of electronic samples combined with the oppressive percussion and rhythm guitars adding immense sensibility to the growing atmosphere of the music transcends in the sonic realm of cosmic black metal. The keyboards here form thick layers on top of the blistering tremolo-picked riffs that are meticulously infused with the massive outburst of the drums keeping the music flowing deep.
Founded in 1994 and led to rest in 2012, Lunar Aurora released during their existence 9 full length albums, two demos and some split releases with Secrets Of The Moon, Paysage D‘Hiver and Nordlys.
Partly atmospheric, partly aggressive but always unique and special, in their active years Lunar Aurora created a deep and mysteries sound full of grim Black Metal with symphonic, ambient and modern classical elements.
In the coming months, Darkness Shall Rise Productions will release all of the bands releases in a special deluxe Pic. LP edition, including sleeve, 12-page inserts with new liner notes, poster, download-card etc.
To start with this amazing project, we decided to first release the great and highly appreciated final output Hoagascht from 2012 and the bands grim and majestetic 7th album Mond from 2005.
Vinyl-Masters were done again by Patrick W. Engel at Temple Of Disharmony.
There are no plans to make a vinyl-box (unlike a tape box which will definitely come later) with all albums, so all these Pic. LP releases will be only available as stand-alone releases.

Vio-Lence is an American thrash metal band formed in 1985 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Throughout its existence, they released demo tapes, one EP and three studio albums. Vio-Lence is often credited as one of the leading lights of the second wave of the genre. October Tide was a side project formed by two members of Katatonia with their style not at all far removed from that fine group. Melancholic, sorrowful mid-paced metal, with death metal vocals laid over the top. Jonas Renske performed the vocals on 'Rain Without End' like he did on all early Katatonia albums, intense, deep and very atmospherical. The October Tide line-up during ’Rain Without End’ was: Fredrik Norrman: Electric, acoustic and bass guitars and Jonas Renske: Drums, electric and acoustic guitars and all vocals. This special re-issue has both the original recordings and mix from Unisound from 1995 AND the re-mastered by Dan Swanö, Winter 2007- 2008 version songs. 14 tracks in total.
Re-issued on CD through Vic Records in 2011 including "Obtained Enslavement" Demo 1992 and "Out of The Gates' Demo 1993 as bonus tracks, as well as new artwork, liner notes and rare pictures.
