After two demo tapes, the essence of Serpent Dweller has been steeped into a deeper meditation of death worship. The first full length offering follows the experience of one unknowingly entering the afterlife; bewildering sights of what lies beyond the veil, dissolution of the ego, and the inescapable surrender at the end of mortality. Exploring themes of pain, loss, and the soul's journey through uncharted planes of existence, the omnipresent shadow of death is venerated at every turn.

An EP of primal gothic elegance, Blood Consumer is atmospheric of a kind cloaked in velveteen mists and swirling chilled fog, with a spiked gauntlet of riffs that will catch the ear of fans of their primary bands. ♱VELVET CROSS♱ was conceived by Splatterpvnk as a solo project in the Winter of 2022, but over time expanded to involve Saidan sticksman and Vampirska mastermind Hundosai (actually, I am not sure that many people know Hundosai is Vampirska , so here you go!) – PLUS, two more dread entities of arcane fortune to create a full band capable of realising the vision in flesh. For the first time ever, a salacious selection of EDGE OF SANITY's obscure, earliest recordings are available officially. Titled “Elegy - Chapter I”, the band’s early (promo, rehearsal or studio) demos “Euthanasia” (1989), “The Immortal Rehearsals” (1990), “kur-nu-gi-a” (1990), “The Dead” (1990) and “Dead But Dreaming” (1991) were hearsed from the cemetary to the mortuary for reanimation by songwriter/frontman/producer Dan Swanö (Opeth, Dissection, Bloodbath).
Featuring a brand-new, hand-drawn cover by visual artist Mark Rudolph (Carcass, Undeath), “Elegy - Chapter I” is by the old guard for all guards to relive or unearth afresh. EDGE OF SANITY weren’t always on the bleeding edge of death metal. No, on “Elegy - Chapter I” the Swedes actually bled death metal. This is a collection of underground old school Swedish death metal at its best!
All five demos have been remastered by Swanö, with the 13 tracks of “Euthanasia”, “kur-nu-gi-a” and “The Dead”.
