Blood was formed by Bernd Eisenstein, Taki, Geer and Radtke in March 1986 in Germany. They recorded 3 demos during this time. In 1989 they released their debut album Impulse To Destroy). The band recorded during 1990 – 2015 12 split ep’s which are all collected on this double CD. Plus their entire ‘Live at Obscene Extreme Festival’ album from 2015. Death metal band Eternal Dirge was formed in 1986 and released four demos and 2 full length albums. They played an early American style of death metal blended with Teutonic thrash, different to any other European death metal band of the time. Their second album from 1996 "Khaos Magick", showed a similar contempt for contemporary metal trends. There were no concessions to the more popular metallic sounds of that time; groove metal, melodic death metal, black metal. Eternal Dirge were a genuine band with their own sound. They made music that reflected their interests and Lovecraftian worldview. Khaos Magick is the most dark yet atmospherically album from their catalogue. Somewhere comparable to early Septic Flesh or Rotting Christ & Necromantia with the dark keyboard sounds and repetitive riffs or even Nocturnus. And of course the heavily rooted German Death and thrash metal influences

Los Angels / California cult 80’s Speed/Thrash Metal/Crossover band BLOODCUM - The clothes hanger chronicles CD Complete Recordings 1986 – 2014.  Featuring Tom Araya's (Slayer) younger brother John Araya (Slayer roadie) on guitars and bass. This compilation cd features their entire discography up till their final split in 2014.  The complete BLOODCUM discography (33 songs) contains: ultra rare Demotape 1986, 1987 "Death by a... clothes hanger" 12",  Wild Rags 4-Way split, soundboard live 1986 and the unreleased recordings from their 2014 reunion.  Plus a 16 page full-color booklet with never-before-seen photos, flyers, fanzine articles, interview with Snakepit. ULVEHUNGER`s Retaliation, the outcome of a joint effort by L.J. Balvaz (BALVAZ/CADAVER/DISGUSTING) and K.B. Fletcher (DISGUSTING) together with none other than legendary Frost (SATYRICON/1349) and Anders Odden (CADAVER/ORDER/SATYRICON live) has Norwegian Death/Black Metal written all over it.

Tracks like “Desecrator”, “Consumed By Hate” or “Rise From The Shadows” convince with memorable riffs that are razor-sharp and remorselessly attacking yet melodious and melancholic at the same time. Pushed ahead by Frost`s unmistakable drumming and L.J. Balvaz`scornful sermons Retaliation is a dynamic, ravenous beast of an album.

ULVEHUNGER, despite being steeped in the tradition of classic outputs by compatriots CARPATHIAN FOREST, DARKTHRONE or GORGOROTH deliver without being a carbon-copy of said bands. ULVEHUNGER managed to create a worthy addition to the endless list of masterpieces from Norway no adherent of the genre can afford to miss out on.

Commonly cited and appreciated as one of the trailblazers of melodic Death Metal, swedish DESULTORY`s roots are deeply buried in Thrash Metal. Wearing their influences on their sleeves, their first demo From Beyond features songs in the vein of KREATOR, TESTAMENT or MERCILESS.
Apart from Klas Morberg`s eery howlings which bear semblance with early TIAMAT and the fact that the demo was recorded in legendary Sunlight Studios in 1990 From Beyond is basically a Thrash Metal demo, albeit a very enjoyable and strikingly well-played one.

It was with Death Unfolds from 1991, the rabid pack`s second demo, that DESULTORY really came into their own as far as style and sound are concerned.
Again recorded by Tomas Skogsberg in his renowned Sunlight Studios, the demo showcases most of the band`s typical trademarks they would go on to be admired for. Bangers like "Passed Away" and "The Chill Within" both of which would end up being re-recorded for DESULTORY`s debut album are top-tier swedish Death Metal with downtuned guitar riffs in abundance and a particular sensitivity for melody.

Simply titled Visions, the 3rd demo again recorded in Sunlight Studios in 1992 logically continues DESULTORY`s trajectory.
Building on the fundament laid out on Death Unfolds some of the ingredients only hinted at previously are extended and fine-tuned on tracks like "Forever Gone" and "Depression". Aided by the strongest production of their demos giving the songs that certain extra punch this demo is victorious on all fronts and a must listen for anyone into swedish Death Metal of the highest order.
