First Chapter: The Inner Sanctum
A spirit of the night, dares to bring an end to a solitude that has lasted for centuries... In his company, we will explore Kasriel’s desolate cold realm, wander around the rooms of the castle where he dwells, which are nothing but a reflection of his most inner mysteries. Maybe the time to unveil what’s been kept silent for so long, has finally arrived...

Nortfalke is a new and enthusiastic project creating a very unique and sophisticated form of complex electronic music. Fans of Ambient will be pleased with the new album Seefunktjonderee as will those who have taken to liking to Dungeon Synth. However, Nortfalke replaces the lo-fi aspect with something that is found too rarely nowadays: skill.
It is somewhat hard to describe the many details that make Norttfalke's first epos so special. Meditative and clearly fleshed out loops form an atmosphere of melancholy and dreaminess that immediately captures the listener and holds his attention throughout the entire running time. As opposed to some of the lesser artists creating similar material, the sound is fleshy and full, always pleasant and filled with many subtle nuances that make the songs interesting despite the lengthy running time.
Although Seefunktjonderee is rather homogenous, the three respective tracks still manage to evoke their own atmosphere and identity. The second song „Yn it schymenryk“ almost seems like a hymn from a fantasy film. Aetherial synthsounds and strong upfront melodies clothe the piece in a semi-medieval majesty that has been rarely reached before. The following Jeeuwne Mone is more calm but still highly catchy with its rhythmic qualities and allround superb composition. Seefunktjonderee by Nortfalke is a highly ambitious and well-crafted album which absolutely should not be missed!

THE LATEST, LONG-AWAITED FULL STUDIO ALBUM OF BLACKENED OCCULT HEAVY METAL FROM THE ITALIAN LEGENDS. ON CD.
Cult band Mortuary Drape was formed in Italy in 1986 as a trio, including the long-standing/sole-remaining member, band founder and visionary Wildness Perversion. Highly inspired by the dark arts & combining early influences from bands such as Mercyful Fate & Celtic Frost, Mortuary Drape developed their own unique style, defining themselves as black occult metal & releasing the demo ‘Necromancy’ in 1987 which spread their name throughout the underground; though it was not until 1992 that their first official release surfaced, with ‘Into the Drape’. This was followed by the debut full-length album, the classic ‘All the Witches Dance’ in 1994. Since then Mortuary Drape has been revered for their influential and pioneering work in the firm establishment of global black metal.
A further progression from the 2022 mini-album ‘Wisdom – Vibration – Repent’, which gave a firm taste of what was to come after signing with Peaceville Records, the Italians return with ‘Black Mirror’ for a new dose of ritualistic blasphemy. ‘Black Mirror’ is Mortuary Drape’s sixth full-length studio album, and presents a spellbinding, occult-draped journey featuring haunting passages and dark yet melodic vintage metal mastery, bringing to mind acts such as Mercyful Fate with their eerie, classic metal-rooted compositions and atmospherics, expertly crafted and delivered with the band’s own distinguishable injection of wicked intent.
"It began with the disappearance of Belesa — the raven-haired beauty with jade colored eyes. Then others began to vanish! One by one, friends, loved ones and finally the children screamed out in the night and were lost... Now as the Horned Moon rises, a thunderous sound ripples across the night sky and in its wake, a Crimson Star ignites in the east! Those stolen must have been taken to the Ancient Keep — a place of dread that lies hidden within the dark boughs of the Eastern Forest. It is up to you to save those who have been taken and stop whatever evil now dwells within that accursed structure of yore. Together you steel yourselves as you enter the Eastern Forest."
The coven of outcast musicians otherwise known as DUNJON MAGIK have fired up her cheap synthesizers to compose the soundtrack for "Sky ov Crimson Flame", a grim RPG adventure module released by Owl Knight Publishing. The work was carried out with the usual ecstatic rapture and the help of magical drinks capable of modifying the perception of reality.
Here you will find oblique melodies, sinister atmospheres, and macabre mood: fully in line with the horrors that this adventure module hides within its bloody pages!

Eight years following their debut album Charnel Passages—which was one of the most anticipated death metal debuts of current canon—US-via-UK abyssic death metal contingent Cruciamentum have finally emerged with their sophomore album Obsidian Refractions.
Now more commanding than ever with a formidable new lineup, Obsidian Refractions sees Cruciamentum deliver their most advanced, demanding and overpowering work yet. Taking everything in the band’s death metal paradigm to the next sonic measure beyond anything the band have previously released, this latest release combines the very essence and aesthetic of ancient cult death metal while encapsulating the dynamic, complex, next-level affectations relevant in today’s death metal landscape. The darkness and resonating unequivocal, uncompromising evil and magnitude surrounding Obsidian Refractions also builds upon the band’s aura of dark death metal majesty, combined with the progressive, savage and complex-yet-aggressive substance of the album through the unrelenting and ever tectonic-shifting riff assault. Witness a modern death metal monument unparalleled.
After releasing three albums in three years and then spending the next four in the wilderness, Tomb Mold has been reborn on fourth album The Enduring Spirit, a thoroughly unabashed step into vast new territories. Yet for all its frenetic daring and audacious exploration, it is never anything other than unmistakably Tomb Mold.
While the expanding Tomb Mold architecture could be heard on last year’s self-released Aperture Of Body tape, it comes into clear focus throughout The Enduring Spirit. Certainly Derrick Vella’s time creating within and expanding the doom genre in Dream Unending has seeped into the flesh of Tomb Mold, not to mention Payson Power and Max Klebanoff’s explorations in their own Daydream Plus project.
With album opener “The Perfect Memory (Phantasm of Aura)” the band’s angular dimension shifting riffing appears right out of the gate as the track travels through varying degrees of progressive death metal and some of the band’s most extreme material yet. “Will Of Whispers” enters with a jazz-like fantasy sequence before careening into a blinding white light barrage, tasteful guitar leads and back to a dreamy serpentine pattern, encompassing whole universes in its nearly seven minute run-time.
6 Tracks of raw black metal in the vein of Satanic Warmaster, Horna, Baptism and Sargeist.

Only 5 months after their 2023 mini-album "Wastelands", Heretoir release their new intense full-length "Nightsphere"! The new record is a concept album dealing with the struggle between the forces of nature and a world of machines. Humanity is in the midst of this confrontation, and the dichotomy between living as an animal among animals and existing as a cog in the wheel of progress determines the course of the story the five songs tell.
"Nightsphere" is a dark album that weaves atmospheric black metal parts with melodic clean passages, swirling blast beats with calm post rock and ambient sounds, and the intensity of desperate screams with the poignant emotionality of melancholic clean vocals into a musical journey through an archaic world. It is also the first album that was entirely written by the full band, featuring contributions of every single member.
The album features ambient sounds of the long-time befriended project "Hidehidehide" as well as guest-appearances of two giants of the (post) black metal genre - Tim Yatras of "Austere" who fuels the song "Twilight of the Machines" with his anguish and Nikita Kamprad of "Der Weg einer Freiheit" who delivers intense and powerful vocals on "Glacierheart - Nightsphere Part II".
"Nightsphere's" natural and organic but powerful sound was crafted by David Deutsch and Justin Felder at 1408 Productions in Hannover, who were responsible for the mix of the record. Furthermore Nikita Kamprad of "Der Weg einer Freiheit" took care of the mastering of the album. Prepare to dive into a highly atmospheric night-realm and emotional maelstrom with "Nightsphere"!

With a past that stretches back to the late '90s and a patient path that began in 2013 with a moniker change, Brazil's THE KRYPTIK burst forth into brilliance when they aligned with PURITY THROUGH FIRE. In the autumn of 2019 came their acclaimed second album, When the Shadows Rise, a startlingly immersive gem of symphonic black metal, and many finally took notice. A year late came the 40-minute Behold Fortress Inferno, which poignantly expanded on their vast canvas despite "only" being a mini-album. Between these two records especially, THE KRYPTIK proved that "symphonic black metal" need not be a dirty word; with no outside influence from the nowadays "black metal" scene, the duo dependably practiced their mystical arts and erected a grand citadel of sound - an atavistic awakening of when all was simply BLACK METAL, heedless of appellations.
And so it goes with THE KRYPTIK's massive third album, A Journey to the Darkest Kingdom. Truly titled, the seven-track/70-minute A Journey to the Darkest Kingdom reveals the duo's grandest vision yet: neo-ancient symphonic black metal drenched in the dark waters of the cosmos, a castle of crystalline ice whose spires reach into boundless space. The band's ebon flow continually crests and cascades, synths swirling all about and with utterly magickal effect. The production here in this Darkest Kingdom is clear and sharp - all murk excised for maximum immersion, gorgeous swell, and pulsing violence - altogether sounding incredibly vintage and era-authentic yet somehow fresher than most nowadays black metal recordings. But, that magick largely resides in THE KRYPTIK's songwriting, as each song is an epic in its own right and then are all threaded together as one fever dream: melodicism, majesty, and malice in perfect balance. Thus, A Journey to the Darkest Kingdom follows logically in THE KRYPTIK's continuum whilst pushing their creativity to even-more-breathtaking heights. Have they delivered a classic on par with Witchcraft, The Sad Realm of the Stars, or even Stormblåst? Only time shall be the judge...
