riginally released in the autumn of 2005, of DARK FUNERAL's fourth album, Attera Totus Sanctus, was arguably the band's fastest and fiercest record ever – which is all the more remarkable given the band's longevity to that point. Where most bands soften or slow down as they get older – or break up, respectably, before ruining their good name – DARK FUNERAL proved that age is just a number and made their razor-sharp yet always-melodic sound that much more nuclear-powered. In fact, that they were able combine such amazingly blitzed speeds with melodies that are highly memorable, even at those speeds, is something that's black magick indeed… And another fiery album cover proved that nothing could extinguish DARK FUNERAL's inferno!

At long last, OSMOSE will do DARK FUNERAL's back catalog justice with the first of many reissues. This version of Attera Totus Sanctus will faithfully reproduce the original, now finally available on CD.

Originally released in the year 2000, IMMORTAL kicked off the new millennium in grand style with Damned in Black. Due to their increasingly hectic touring schedule, the band welcomed bassist Iscariah into the fold fulltime, and Damned in Black marked his first recording with IMMORTAL. Likewise, the album followed the transitional classic At the Heart of Winter, where the band sought a more slowed-down and definitely more epic sound. But “slowed-down” is all relative in the world of IMMORTAL, and Damned in Black brought back much of the band's trademark speed whilst not losing any epicness – and the closing title track is THE definition of EPIC. The IMMORTAL name is indeed immortal; in fact, it is legendary. And for good reason: the Norwegian band's run of six albums for OSMOSE set unprecedented standards in black metal – and beyond. Whether it was blistering speed, epic atmosphere, and most especially just downright amazing songwriting, IMMORTAL's work during the 1990s has rightfully reached successive generations of metal fans, and arguably stands as the “gateway” to black metal for folks generally not acclimated to such.

Originally released in 1995, Battles in the North is considered by many to be the most legendary IMMORTAL album. From its utterly iconic cover to its unremitting assault on the sense, Battles in the North very much matched form with content. However, the duo of Abbath and Demonaz here proved that actual songwriting could exist within a template of blistering speed and buzzing production; one need only look to the climactic closer “Blashyrkh (Mighty Ravendark),” perhaps IMMORTAL's most classic track ever. 2020 shall once more bare witness to the release of one of the most bizarre acts in metal history. TSATTHOGGUA have unearthed some recordings of the earliest phase of the band from around 1995, when the immortal TSATTHOGGUA anthems like 'Niemals Geboren' were descending into eternal darkness. Material from the infamous demo tape 'Siegeswille' meet the Abyss studio remixes, mastered by Swedish sound legend Mikael Hedlund. All these songs have been remastered in the Norwegian Paranoic Abyss studios by the magical hands of Gulnar. The result is unbelievably heavy, explosive and fast! All 7 songs proove that these German weirdos have composed and recorded on a sensationally high level, far away from copying well known acts. Speed and brutality are omnipresent when they unleash their Nietzsche- and hedonism-oriented hymns of hate and despise. The outstanding artwork was created during the COVID-19 lockdown and quarantine in April 2020 by the Corona-infected vocalist North Wind and designer Silere Omnia. A 22 minute playing time MLP limited to 300 copies, black vinyl. Experience the roots of terror!

 Infernö was formed in 1994 by among others Carl-Michael "Aggressor" Eide (Aura Noir, Ved Buens Ende etc.) in opposition to where underground metal was heading at the moment (top hats, velvet gowns and Matrix coats galore). The intention was to bring back the glorious necro thrash metal of the early 80s; strongly inspired by early Sodom, Kreator, Slayer and so on.

The debut album, Utter Hell was originally released in 1995, and is more or less a tribute to the bands that inspired it. Infernö were never about hiding their influences, but more about shoving those influences down your throat in a very shameless and unsophisticated manner.

On their sophomore album, Downtown Hades, Infernö were still not shy about their influences, but their unashamed way of hailing their idols had evolved, and the band had, surprisingly, matured.
The riffs are sharper, the attitude is meaner, and the delivery twice as aggressive as its predecessor. Just under half an hour, the album is one frantic headbanger after another, leaving absolutely no neck unharmed.
Over the years, it has grown into something of an underground classic, and after more than 2 decades of being out of print, it is about time for a re-release, to draw new generations of headbangers Downtown Hades!
