Back in stock - musica Black Metal e Dark estrema
Marlugubre is a post-black metal project founded in 2018, that was initially conceived as an acoustic and instrumental solo band. Over the years, the sound evolved into something more complex and complete. The project now draws inspiration from bands such as Opeth, Alcest, and Deafheaven. Marlugubre blends post-black metal with progressive and atmospheric elements, and the latest album, “Per Amor Nymphae”, is deeply rooted in Greek mythology, in particular, it focuses on the mythical figures of the nymphs. The album evokes an introspective journey through ancient Greece, its atmospheres echo the dreamy melancholy of Alcest and Deafheaven, with subtle influences inspired by Opeth’s emotional depth. Stories like Orpheus and Eurydice are brought to life through sound, the primordial figure of Nyx from Hesiod’s Theogony is also explored, alongside tales of Chloris and the tragic myth of Scylla and Glaucus. In this album, distorted, clean, and acoustic guitars intertwine throughout the album conveying romanticism, fragility, and a sense of timeless beauty, letting the music be a narrative tool rather than mere composition. A new element emerges with Serena’s vocal presence, her voice blends naturally with the album’s ethereal atmospheres, adding warmth, sweetness, and emotional intimacy. “Per Amor Nymphae” stands as a romantic and mythological sound voyage.
On "Arete", NETHERBIRD return with their signature melodic black/death metal that has become their hallmark. It is deeply rooted in the Scandinavian underground legacy, yet delivered with a strong sense of feel and urgency, allowing these tracks to exude the confidence and songwriting prowess of a band at the peak of their craft. The album itself is the third installment of the trilogy that started on “The Grander Voyage” and continued on “Into the Vast Uncharted”. The journey has come to its completion with this album, where the very concept of Arete – the classic ideal of excellence – is scrutinized from various angles in these songs.

"Nechrist" is probably the most peculiar record in Nokturnal Mortum's catalogue, simply because it's different from anything else they've done.
This is by far their angriest, fastest, darkest and most aggressive record, and as such it's often labelled as "messy" or "chaotic": while it might result a bit difficult to digest during the first listens, "Nechrist" is a grower, and its beauty will slowly unfold to the listener each time he comes back to it.
The album's production is quite raw, making a bit difficult to distinguish the fastest guitar patterns at times; the riffs generally consist in the traditional black metal tremolo picked frenzy, although slower sections are obviously present, with some interesting bridges here and there (the "breakdown" found at the end of "Night Before the Fight" is simply amazing).
The bass isn't always audible, but where you can hear it you can say its patterns are definitely interesting.
The drumming is astonishing, a real storm of blast beats and relentless double bass drumming, thus confirming Munruthel as the most technical drummer this band has ever laid its hands on.
Re-issue with the complete updated layout, remastered by the band itself, the most angry and furious album of the band.
