After the success and lasting impact of their debut 2022 full-length, Where the Shadows Adorn, Indianapolis melodic death-doom purveyors Mother of Graves return to the surface with a new and prolific dose of melancholy.
The Periapt of Absence, set to be unleashed by the esteemed Profound Lore Records, serves as a testament to Mother of Graves' evolutionary journey and steadfast dedication to crafting their profoundly personal and enthralling rendition of death-doom metal.
Highlighted by Brandon Howe's soul crushing and poetic vocals, this offering transcends boundaries, delving even deeper into realms of melancholy and introspection than their past offerings. The album expands on Mother of Graves' engrossing atmospheres, crushing passages that shine light on their death metal roots, monumental hooks, and melodies that will resonate for years to come. The crushing production, provided by the band's Ben Sandman with dynamic mastering by the legend Dan Swanö, amplifies the monumental rhythm section anchored by Don Curtis on drums and Corey Clark on bass, while illuminating the intricate guitar harmonies skillfully woven by guitarists Sandman and Chris Morrison.
The Periapt of Absence is without a doubt their most in depth and significant material to date. Each song provides a poignant exploration of the human experience, where moments of despair are illuminated by glimmers of hope and fleeting beauty. Through eight cathartic tales of heartache, love, and loss, Mother of Graves beckons you to delve deep into the recesses of their dark and gloomy world.
One-off edition in 200 copies, translucent red vinyl, not to be repressed
While writing their upcoming album (due later this year), Remina ended up with three songs that no longer fit the album's themes as it began to take shape. Rather than let these songs become lost in the ether, these were gathered in a brand new ep, "Erebus".
Initially released digitally only in June 2024, the ep found a huge success and pushing us to offer the band a one-off only edition on vinyl and cd.
Comes in gatefold sleeve and solid 180 grams white vinyl.
Please mind, we offer also a bundle pack, vinyl + digi!
In Silence Descent, Vananidr’s fifth studio album, as the title suggests, is an exploration of darkness and despair, a vessel to a world beyond the grave. Along the eight tracks, melodies of pure Nordic melancholy mix with equal amounts of frenzy, frustration and suffering, crafting a perfect example of Scandinavian black metal. Vananidr’s lyrics have always been of the very personal sort, exploring the darkness within and the utter disgust for humanity.
The massive drum sound was captured in an old church at NBS productions (Necromorbus studio) by Anders Eriksson himself, who recorded the whole album.
Sepulchral Voice, jewelcase, 4 page booklet, To all death metal lunatics and black metal psychopaths left out there in this toothless and tamed scene, CONCRETE WINDS are back to push spikes, needles, and barbed wire into your ears! Once again, the noise aggressors slit the veil from beyond and step into our world to pillage and hound to death all what was known, predictable, and comfortable in metal music. Their third album is self-titled for mandatory reasons and shows the band furthermore exploring the EXTREME in extreme metal. This truly is rabies set to music! As expected, the album is rooted in outrageous speed, heaviest trembling rhythm passages, abysmal croaked curses, turbulent breaks, and repulsive shrieking leads which let you drown in a maelstrom of insanity. But this time, new layers are also added to the pandemonic universe, as weird staccato riffing sections bleed into witching industrial scenarios. CONCRETE WINDS have always gone further than any recent extreme metal outfit and leave out everything that's established in music, cut off what became comfortable in metal, and blow away what still feels "appropriate" in extreme metal. It seems that this once-urgent attitude to explore limits finally has a new helmsman.

Conceptually, Eldamar used to be inspired by J.R.R Tolkien, Heathenism, Elven Magic and Nature. On the new album, however, this focus has shifted more towards existential themes and nonphysical experiences.
The goal of Eldamar's art has always been to help listeners to open up to the music in an emotional way and combine the experience with their imagination. To that end, the combination of aural and visual impressions was and still is important. Where in the past Eldamar used the gorgeous nature paintings of Albert Bierstadt to help the listener to enter dream-like lands, the new album, which is part one of a two part work, uses a magnificent painting by the Polish master of surreal art Mariusz Lewandowski to give the listener some visual cues as to what this album is about. As usual, the music and art are meant to speak for themselves, and listeners are encouraged to enter into their own spiritual journeys while listening to the new album.
Hin helga kvöl (The Holy Suffering) is a profound exploration of raw emotion and stark beauty, deeply inspired by Sólstafir’s cultural heritage and Iceland's breathtaking landscapes. Sólstafir, meaning "crepuscular rays" in Icelandic, refers to sunlight piercing through dark clouds at dusk, capturing the essence of Hin helga kvöl, a beacon of hope shining through the heaviest of times. Sólstafir confronts inner demons and transcends rock and roll decadence, creating music that resonates with the universal struggle and triumph over hardship. Recorded at Flóki Studios in the remote Skagafjörður, Iceland, the change of scenery has profoundly influenced the album's atmosphere. Hin helga kvöl features eight tracks blending Sólstafir's signature melancholic sound with elements from their past, merging black metal roots with tuneful, anthemic rock. Reflecting on the album's title, Tryggvason shares: "We all suffer in life, and even nature suffers. It can be found in religion and spirituality as well. Hin helga kvöl means 'The Holy Suffering,' representing the struggle we all face." The album’s stunning cover art by Rowan E Cassidy, featuring charcoal shadows, perfectly illustrates the emotional depth and breathtaking altitudes of Hin helga kvöl. Tryggvason describes the music with one word: "alone," capturing the essence of Sólstafir's unfiltered and ardently emotional sound. Sólstafir’s music is shaped by diverse influences, including Black Metal, Classic Rock, Post-Rock, Punk, and the stark beauty of Icelandic nature, crafting a unique sound all of their own. Hin helga kvöl promises to be a bright, shining milestone in Sólstafir’s illustrious career, illuminating the path from darkness to light. Three years after the acclaimed Obârșie, Romanian folk/progressive black metal band Sur Austru is back with their third studio album, Datura Străhiarelor.
Sur Austru was born from the ashes of the late Negură Bunget, keeping alive their intent to bring Romanian lore into music. Datura Străhiarelor is the band’s most complex and ambitious project to date, the music heavily leaning on the progressive and folkloristic side, even more than before.
Datura Străhiarelor is Romanian for The Gift of Scarecrows” and is a concept album focusing on the Apocalypse triggered by magical beings from Romanian mythology.
Their spells break the gate between the fantastic world and the real one, through which ancient beasts surge, thus annihilating humankind.
Haunting incantations and invocations, mesmerizing flutes, percussions and unpredictable guitar structures all blend together to craft a new fascinating journey through the Carpathians and beyond. If you ever loved masterpieces such as Negura Bunget’s Om or Dordeduh’s self-titled debut, as well as Enslaved’s most prog outputs, Datura Străhiarelor is an album you cannot miss.
Belarusian post-punk / synth pop group Molchat Doma have always exuded the kind of brutalist aesthetic of the architecture that adorns their album art. It's cold, gray, imposing, industrial, and yet there are human hearts beating within those foundations. In the wake of their breakthrough success in 2020, the trio endured a polarity of experiences, from the nadir of an uprooted life and forced relocation away from their native Minsk to the apex of headlining massive shows across the world. It was in this headspace that the band settled into their new home of Los Angeles to finish writing their fourth album Belaya Polosa, a testament to change in difficult times, a love letter to the digital pulse of the '90s, and a technicolor reinvention of the band's somber dance floor anthems.

A DEEP, INNOVATIVE & ECLECTIC CONCOCTION OF NORTHERN MAJESTY, FOR THE SEVENTH STUDIO OPUS IN THE MORK SAGA, AS THE BAND MARKS THE MILESTONE OF TWENTY YEARS OF EXISTENCE.
Following on from mastermind Thomas Eriksen’s self-titled Udåd project debut earlier this year; a dark release which explored the more underground & murkier-sounding waters of primitive black metal from a by-gone era, ‘Syv’ emerges as the new pinnacle of Mork’s and Eriksen’s ever-evolving journey, as well as a creative expansion both sonically & compositionally over all prior works.
