Born in 2014 as an atmospheric band blending black metal with traditional Italian folk music elements and deeply rooted in themes of local folklore, mythology, and dark cultural heritage, Selvans released two landmark albums "Clangores Plenilunio" and "Lupercalia".
In the mid of their career though the band let their 70's dark/prog background influences prevail in their new compositions, stylistically reaching a model they like to describe as "Dark Italian Art." This evolution was notable in the in subsequent releases (Faunalia, 2018 and Dark Italian Art, 2021).
Initially a duo, the band transitioned to a solo project under Selvans Haruspex in 2019 and we can definitely envision their music as heavy metal with black metal and prog-rock influences, lirically inspired by Italian folk-horror tales and imagery.
SELVANS has toured extensively around Europe - including performances at such festivals as Metaldays (Slovenia), De Mortem Et Diabolum (Germany), Metalowa Wigilia (Poland), Frantic Fest (Italy), Rites of the Black Mass (Romania), Dark Medieval Fest (France), Autumn Souls of Sofia (Bulgaria) and Emanations of the Absolute (Switzerland).  New album "Saturnalia" is entirely sung in Italian and sees for the first time an orchestra and a choir consisting of 60 elements playing side by side with SELVANS and his band.

Drawn Into Descent craft five songs for over fortyfive minutes of play and swing naturally from evil blast-beats and desperate shrieks (“Dystopia”) to more post-, almost gothic rock influences (“Death…”). Now resembling Judas Iscariot, now flirting with Klimt 1918, the final result is that The Endless Endeavour is carved in a unique and personal sound. Dealing with the bleak, joyless emotions of life, Drawn Into Descent sophomore album will be a perfect companion during the last winter days, when cold has not let go yet, but days start to grow longer again. An apparently conflicting duality, just like the mellow guitars of blackgaze opposed to the rage of atmospheric black metal.

Pioneering French dark atmospheric music since 1996, Dark Sanctuary is back with their eighth album, Cernunnos, the first in fourteen years. Following the EP Iterum released in 2022, it marks the group's return to the front of the stage.

Cernunnos is an ancient Gaulish god who embodied the biological cycle of nature, simultaneously reflecting life and death, germination and decay, like the deer, the animal that represents him, who loses its antlers in winter to recover them in spring. This title perfectly symbolizes the history of Dark Sanctuary after these years of artistic break and this rebirth.

Composed during the year 2022, the 11 songs of this album make it one of the most varied that Dark Sanctuary have made so far, oscillating between what has characterized the band for two decades and new musical horizons. Both dark and emotional, Cernunnos is a new milestone in the history of the group.

Originally released in 2004, Mysteries of the Nocturnal Forest is a sarcophagi of despair as the album’s nine tracks account for a hour’s worth of raw misanthropic misery. Evilfeast’s lone multi-instrumentalist, GrimSpirit, begins his prolific body of work with a wintry dissonance. With over two decades of depraved black metal under his belt, it is easy to see why Evilfeast belongs alongside Burzum, Paysage d'Hiver and Midnight Odyssey.
 

Elegies of the Stellar Wind" marks the 5th full-length for Poland's epic one-man Black Metal outfit Evilfeast. On the successor to 2011`s lauded, 'Wintermoon Enchantment,' sole member GrimSpirit hasn`t changed much on the band`s majestic formula. Sprawling, epic keyboard arrangements paired with cold and harsh walls of guitars and dedicated vocals whispering of old times and solitarity. Unfolding its layers track by track, the album unlocks a dripping atmosphere. At times freezing in solitude, at others resolute melodic with choral pillars. Enhanced like never before, these elegies reach an almost monumental peak.

A bludgeoning autopsy of death metal, gore and deathgrind, the low-tuned grooves, discordant leads and mid-tempo rumble of Cerebral Rot is evident in tracks like “Spinous Forms Of Mortal Abhorrence” and the title-track while setting the bar for a melted transformation into more ghastly liquified forms. The gargling slime vox of Ian Schwab are dangerously radioactive, summoned straight from the sealed basement of a nuked morgue narrating a splatter-fest of morbid poetry, decomposing flesh, absurd experiments, and gruesome transgression. Each song plays out like a medical examiner’s case file crossed with the fevered ramblings of a psychopath—precise in its anatomical horror and repugnant in its bizarre depravity.
