Darkness Shall Rise Productions are proud to continue its reissue campaign by rereleasing the band`s only demo for the very first time on LP, CD and tape. The track “Autopoema” recorded at the same time as the other songs but not included on the original demo makes its first appearance as a bonus.
Although based out of Trondheim, Norway and entering the scene exactly when (Norwegian) Black Metal reached its popular peak after having garnered – besides brilliant music – worldwide notoriety for various criminal activities like arson and murder, THE 3RD AND THE MORTAL set out to tread an entirely different path. As one of the first bands which dared to blend Doom Metal`s heaviness with ethereal female vocals and progressive influences – a formula that countless bands would go on to embrace globally – the young Norwegians set themselves apart and carved out their own unique niche from the very start.
Until 2016, very few people had access to the original version of CRADLE OF FILTH follow-up to their hugely successful debut album The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh.
Entangled in legal problems with their former label and with few of their key members about to jump ship to form THE BLOOD DIVINE, this recording was seemingly doomed to fail. It thus remained locked up in the vault for over twenty-one years, the band having decided ultimately to shelve it and quickly record and release the V Empire, Dark Faerytales In Phallustein EP instead, before committing to tape another version of this album with a revamped line-up and new arrangements.
Having heard the fans’ plea, Dani Filth finally agreed to issue it officially for the first time in 2016 after remastering it with the help of famed producer and longtime collaborator Scott Atkins (AMON AMARTH, VADER, GAMA BOMB, BENEDICTION).

Naglfar have an high quality of their recordings, this is the fifth album by those Swedes, and are here again be able to keep up to their high recording standards of the previous albums and if their music would still reek of hatred, evil and suffering.
Naglfar is one of those bands that can effortlessly mix raw energy of black metal that we know from their first al- bums with the elements of melodic death metal introduced in their later releases.
This mix makes their songs memorable to a point that you can recognize them from the first riffs.
Traditionally of course, intensity mixes with atmospheric slower parts, melodic touches intertwine with ultra fast brutality, and in all that, solos, parts of keyboards or piano are thrown into as if into a twister of sickening sound.
Musically, the whole band shows us solid compositional skills, supported by technical in- strumentality and respectable experience.
Christopher Olivius spits out wicked lyrics, he sang with such passion and malice, that vocals added an extra level of brutality, vocals are very strong and solid.
Harvest is an inspired, interesting and originally diverse piece of work.
The Cold White Light is widely regarded as Sentenced’s masterpiece and one of the most iconic albums to emerge from the Finnish metal scene. Released in 2002, the album represents the perfect synthesis of melodic metal, gothic darkness, and crushing emotional weight.
Here, Sentenced refine their sound into something stark, direct, and devastatingly effective-mid-tempo riffs drenched in melancholy, memorable and somber melodies, and a sense of cold introspection that permeates every track.
Ville Laihiala’s vocal performance is raw, expressive, and deeply human, delivering themes of despair, loss, isolation, and existential struggle with haunting sincerity. Presented in the classic jewel case CD format, this edition of The Cold White Light captures the album in its definitive form, preserving the bleak atmosphere and emotional intensity that have made it a timeless reference in gothic and melodic metal. The record unfolds with a powerful sense of cohesion, moving effortlessly between heavy, crushing moments and melancholic, almost fragile passages.
Songs like “No One There”, “Brief In The light” and ”Konevitsan Kirkonkellot” have become genre-defining anthems, while the album as a whole stands as a deeply immersive listening experience. The Cold White Light is a cold, honest, and uncompromising emotional journey, cementing Sentenced’s legacy as one of the most influential and emotionally resonant metal bands of their era.
