Recorded at the Fekete Zaj Fesztivál in 2021
Originally released in 2014 by Ahdistuksen Aihio and rightfully considered by those in the know as one of the best and most unique Finnish Black Metal recordings made in the '10s, the vinyl version of this masterpiece has been long sold out world-wide.
Pressed onto three sides, the double vinyl is housed in a beautiful gatefold jacket and comes with a 20-page booklet with lyrics.
”Relinquishment” lights the lantern of your seeking by intertwining the ominous, bold and versatile musical, lyrical & visual qualities of the album into a 65 minute crescendo of fury.
After their highly acclaimed avant-garde debut album "Secret Ambrosian Fire", released by Eisenwald in 2019, Thuringian folklorists MOSAIC return to their black metal roots with their new full-length album "Heimatspuk", delivering a primal symbiosis of atmospheric metal, mystical soundscapes and traditional primal folk elements.
The album continues where its predecessor "Secret Ambrosian Fire" left off. The modern world lies in ruins and has consumed itself. Lyrically, it is permeated by various leitmotifs, such as darkness, sanguine and forest mysticism - as well as the central elements of earth and air - whose attributes and symbolism characterize the album.
Unlike previous MOSAIC releases, there are no guest appearances on this album. The album was written and recorded entirely by Martin van Valkenstijn at his House of Inkantation in Gotha, with musical assistance from Danijel Zambo (Walden, Skognatt) and mastered by Markus Stock (Empyrium, Sun of the Sleepless) at Klangschmiede Studio E in Mellrichstadt.
Death worshiping doom-death monsters Iteru finally having their 35 minute debut "Ars Moriendi" releaesed on LP. Limited to 300 units on black vinyl.
For fans of THE RUINS OF BEVERAST, URFAUST, BLUT AUS NORD, EVOKEN, and the likes...
Originally released in 2017 on cassette but selling out each edition three times over, ITERU's Ars Moriendi has quickly become a highly considered & essential piece of modern underground doom-death. And listening to the expansive 34 minutes of this debut recording, it's easy to hear why: ITERU craft a crushing-yet-spacious experience of damnation and depression, almost effortlessly moving from spiraling suicidal melody to earth-shaking heft, and smothering the listener every step of the way. Even the vocals themselves seem to be world-eating, a force of nature (or even the supernatural) intent on utter oblivion. But, unlike so much doom-death past and especially present, Ars Moriendi always conveys a sense of movement - no sludge for its own sake here - and an expert grasp of dynamics; down every labyrinth, there is both light and shade, and all is DOOMED.
Comparisons to Conqueror, Revenge, and Black Witchery are inevitable, and indeed, HUMAN AGONY are among the few elite bands deserving of such comparisons. That the band hails from Victoria, B.C.—known for the infamous Ross Bay Cemetery and a longstanding history of Satanic and occult activity—naturally also draws attention to the profound influence of Blasphemy. But HUMAN AGONY offer more than rote regurgitation of the bestial black/death and war metal tropes.
IRON BONEHEAD PRODUCTIONS is proud to present KERASFÓRA's striking debut demo, Denn die Todten reiten schnell, on 12" vinyl format.
Originally released in 2021 on CD and cassette in their native Chile, KERASFÓRA's Denn die Todten reiten schnell is an obsidian gem like few others in the nowadays black metal scene. Its mesmerizing mysticism sounds utterly ancient, yet doesn't nod too conspicuously nor too often to any '90s touchstones. From its regal gait to the hypnotic usage of synth, the one-man KERASFÓRA evokes forgotten realms and vast vistas of wonder, locked into a dream state that's equally liberating and frightening. As such, Denn die Todten reiten schnell is both grim and gorgeous, fully within the realm of raw black metal but evincing a view that aims for the Beyond - and well beyond it.
