Those Who Reign Below is the 8th studio album in the purest tradition of old school death metal, a work of musical impiety, a death metal as hateful as much as aggressive, switching imposing mid-tempos and demonic accelerations, sulphureous melodies and vocals straight from the devil's forge. An aura of evil surrounds each track, in a veritable debauchery of hate that gives the impression of having witnessed the manifestation of the devil.

This album represents the extreme and uncompromising side of MERCYLESS, which has grown steadily over the years, in a blasphemous symphony inherited from the 90s Death Metal.
The cover was designed by Mexican artist Nestor Avalos, whose talent represents all the darkness emanating from this album. The production was entrusted to Raph Henry of HELDSCALLA studio, who sculpted a sound highly representative of the violence and anger of this extreme and irreligious music.

Founded in 1991, Belial only lived a short career but burned with a bright flame. The band opened the gates to success – and hell – right from the start with their demo tape and mini-album “Wisdom of Darkness” (1992). Belial's debut full length album “Never Again” (1993) was well received by fans and even had some commercial success cementing their name as one of the cruelest and darkest-sounding Finnish death metal band of their time.
 

Re–release of Absu's debut tour de force Barathrum: V.I.T.R.I.O.L. – 30th Anniversary Edition. Supplying the original DAT tape by Proscriptor himself, this ultimate edition of cult, early 90's mythological occult metal has been newly mastered for LP.

Proscriptor quotes in regards to the sound of the new master: "Now, the entire album is nothing more than pulverizing and bewitching, as our debut offering has never sounded ANY better!” The companion album features alternate instrumental mixes from the original recordings, as well as an unreleased rehearsal session from 1992.

A majestic, silver–mirrored gatefold jacket and a Double CD version, including extensive liner notes/insert/posters, accommodate this edition as well.

The music itself is a fusion of icy, tremolo-picked guitar riffs, blast beats, and haunting, atmospheric synth layers. It carries an otherworldly mood, drifting between aggression and contemplation. The song also incorporates electronic elements and ambient interludes, which provide a vast, ethereal soundscape. This single is both relentless and meditative, capturing Mesarthim’s ability to craft immersive, spacey atmospheres while retaining black metal’s raw intensity.

Departure (2024) leans heavily into the band’s cosmic themes, evoking feelings of journeying through space or leaving behind something familiar. The track opens with a somber and almost melancholic tone, gradually building into a massive, swirling blend of distorted guitars and atmospheric keys. The song shifts through dynamic phases, from soaring melodies to intense, fast-paced sections. Like much of Mesarthim’s work, Departure utilizes synth layers to create a celestial, almost dreamlike atmosphere, suggesting both the awe and isolation of venturing into the unknown.
